Designing and Producing a Startup Programme for EY’s Flagship Innovation Conference: Innovation Realized™

Partnered with EY to design and run a startup programme at Innovation Realized, showcasing tech ventures driving digital transformation.

Context

EY is one of the global Big 4 professional services firms.

As part of EY’s flagship innovation conference (Innovation Realized) they wanted to harness the innovation of technology startups to help its clients and itself to transform and drive growth.

EY asked us to help them design, curate and run a specific startup programme for their conference to showcase a range of technology innovations focused on digital transformation.

Approach

A Systematic and Ecosystem Approach

Our approach focused on scouting through the investor ecosystem and preparing startup founders with the right business topic to theme their presentations, as well as running one corporate-startup collaboration workshop at the conference.

Scouting and Sourcing

We sourced through top-tier US venture capital investors, including Sequoia Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Menlo Ventures, NEA Ventures, Samsung Next, and the Unreasonable Group.

Impact

Onboarding and Engagement

We selected 14 startups/scale-ups focused on a number of areas, including Enterprise AI, Water Sustainability, Agriculture, Metaverse, Blockchain and Consumer AI.

Collectively, the cohort had raised over $870m of venture funding.

Startup–Corporate Collaborations

Through our curated approach, the cohort were able to build business with a number of larger organisations present, including Honeywell, P&G and Kimberly Clark.
